Accidents On Belmont Avenue in Fresno County

Safe motorists depend most on the attention of other drivers at an intersection. A careless driver can miss a stop sign or think that a two-way stop is actually a four-way stop and proceed on. Another driver exercising all due caution may still not be able to react in time to that mistake and avoid a dangerous collision.

Every year, intersections are the scene for thousands of accidents in California. The California Highway Patrol responds to these crashes every day. In a single year, they saw 58,446 injuries resulting from accidents at intersections. Intersection collisions were also responsible for a tragic 700 deaths.

Support for Victims In Fresno County Accidents

In these devastating collisions, victims can suffer severe injuries and seemingly be left on their own after an accident that was in no way their fault.

The victims and their family members may soon face overwhelming hospital bills and be in a financial hole due to missed time at work. In these cases, filing a claim for damages against at-fault drivers and their insurance companies can provide compensation to pay for proper medical care and any other expenses necessary to help victims heal and make a full recovery.

This civil lawsuit can force the insurance company to also cover missed paychecks from work and provide for any future rehabilitation needed for victims. Physical and emotional pain can also factor into any compensation awarded to those injured.

In California, victims are allowed to file a claim for damages up to two years after the date the accident occurred. The sooner a file is claimed the better because as time passes evidence and witnesses can become harder to locate to build your case.
