In a near-tragedy, a 10-year-old girl was critically injured when she was struck by a car on Tuesday, September, 3, 2019, around 4 p.m. Coalinga Police said that the child appeared to have been in the crosswalk at the intersection of Elm and Fifth Street when a vehicle stopped at the stop sign and then drove forward and hit her.
She sustained serious injures and was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center. Police are still investigating the accident, and so for, no charges have been filed.
