Jameson Hendrix, 14, Killed in Electric Motorcycle Crash with Vehicle at Tokay Ave, Old Vineyard Rd in Turlock

Turlock, CA — On the evening of Saturday, October 10, 2026, 14-year-old Jameson Hendrix lost his life in a collision with a vehicle while riding an electric motorcycle, according to KCRA, with additional reporting from CBS News Sacramento and FOX40.

According to neighbors, Hendrix was riding with friends when the accident occurred at approximately 5:30 PM near Tokay Avenue and Old Vineyard Road, just down the road from his home in a residential area of East Turlock.

Turlock police officers arriving at the scene found Hendrix not breathing and began to administer CPR. Fire personnel offered further assistance as well. However, despite these life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in this fatal crash.

Hendrix was later identified by family and friends, and Turlock Unified School District confirmed his status as a student at Turlock High School, where he was a freshman.

A GoFundMe has been created to assist in covering Hendrix’s funeral, burial, and other related family expenses.

Details are still emerging regarding the sequence of events that led to Hendrix’s death. Turlock PD’s Major Accident Investigation Team is analyzing evidence in this case, and any witnesses who may have information are asked to contact them.

Turlock Electric Motorcycle Accidents and Wrongful Death Claims

California law operates on the legal principle of comparative negligence, which holds that multiple parties can share liability in an accident. As Turlock PD’s Major Accident Investigation Team works to determine what factors may have contributed to the crash, they will make assessments regarding whether Hendrix and the driver involved failed in their duty of care to attempt to avoid this collision.

Even if Hendrix is found partially at fault, his family may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim, which can compensate for damages such as funeral expenses and the loss of companionship and support provided by the deceased.
