October 8, 2026, Modesto, CA: On Thursday morning, one person was killed into a collision into a home at a Modesto intersection.
According to KCRA, the accident happened in the morning hours at a home at the intersection of Fortuna Avenue and Encina Avenue. Police confirmed that a driver lost control of their vehicle due to a supposed medical emergency, crashing into a home at the intersection.
Several emergency responders were called to the scene. Three people in the vehicle, as well as one person inside the home, were injured in the accident. Four people were hospitalized but one tragically passed away from their injuries while there.
The road was blocked all morning as police worked the scene, which involved removing the vehicle from the home.
No further details have been released. At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
