Berkeley, CA – On the evening of Friday, September 25, 2026, a pedestrian collision left a 20-year-old man in critical but stable condition, according to KRON.
The Berkeley Police Department reports that the accident took place around 10:09 PM at Telegraph Avenue and Carleton Street.
Authorities said the man was crossing Telegraph Avenue when he was struck by a 64-year-old Oakland woman driving southbound on Telegraph Avenue. He was transported to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Impairment from drugs or alcohol was not believed to be a factor.
Given the severity of the crash, the Berkeley Police Department’s Fatal Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
