September 24, 2026, Visalia, CA: A pedestrian crash with injuries took place on a highway in Visalia on Thursday morning.
According to Visalia Stringer, a pedestrian was walking on SR-198 near the Akers Street on-ramp when they were struck by a passenger vehicle. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained on scene following the crash.
Paramedics and numerous other emergency responders were called to the scene to help. The pedestrian sustained injuries in the accident and was hospitalized. Their current condition is unknown.
