Arden-Arcade, CA – On the evening of Wednesday, September 23, 2026, a hit-and-run resulted in the death of a motorcyclist in his 30s, according to KCRA, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 7:46 PM at Watt Avenue and Arden Way.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Watt Avenue while a crossover SUV was in the southbound turning lane north of Arden Way. Preliminary information indicates the SUV turned into the path of the motorcyclist and struck him.
Fire personnel responded and began life-saving measures at the scene. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The SUV fled the scene following the collision.
An evidence tow was requested for the motorcycle, which was later transported to a tow yard. The crash remains under investigation.
