Fresno, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, a suspected DUI collision left a Fresno police officer hospitalized after the patrol vehicle rolled over, according to ABC30.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 11:00 PM at Friant and Lakeview.
Authorities said a minivan traveling northbound on Friant Road collided with the officer’s patrol vehicle, causing it to roll over with the officer still inside. The officer sustained minor injuries and was described as being in good spirits despite being hospitalized. The driver of the minivan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Police noted that cones had not yet been set up in the area due to ongoing construction at the time of the crash.
