Fresno, CA – On the evening of Monday, September 8, 2026, a collision between a motorcycle and a bicycle trailer resulted in the death of Gregory Hansen, 64, of Fresno, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 9:00 PM on North Avenue west of Minnewawa Avenue, a rural stretch of roadway in eastern Fresno County lined with agricultural fields.
Authorities said a Fresno resident was riding a bicycle pulling a trailer without lights at night when Hansen, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, struck the trailer. Hansen was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died. The bicyclist was not struck and sustained no injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. The Fresno County Coroner formally identified Hansen following his death.
