September 10, 2026, Modesto, CA: A big rig accident took place on a major roadway in Modesto on Thursday evening.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 6:36 p.m. in the southbound lanes of SR-99 near the area of the Taylor Road off-ramp. Police confirmed that an Amazon big rig was traveling in the area when it was involved in a crash with a black pickup truck on the highway due to unknown reasons.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. One or more parties sustained injuries in the crash. The injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment.
