Antioch, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, August 29, 2026, Daniel Paul Prevot, 66, of Antioch, died at a hospital following a traffic collision, according to KRON.
The Antioch Police Department and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District personnel responded shortly after 3:30 PM to reports of a crash in the 5100 block of Arroyo Way.
First responders arrived at the scene and located Prevot unconscious inside a vehicle that had collided with two parked, unoccupied cars. Officers immediately provided emergency medical care until fire personnel arrived. First responders rushed Prevot to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released whether a medical emergency, mechanical failure, or driver distraction contributed to the incident. The collision remains under active investigation by the Antioch Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
