Antioch, CA – On the evening of Friday, August 21, 2026, a suspected DUI hit-and-run collision resulted in severe injuries to a 24-year-old woman, according to KRON.
The Antioch Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 10:30 PM at the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and the eastbound Highway 4 off-ramp.
The woman was crossing near the intersection when a vehicle struck her, leaving her lying on the sidewalk. Responding emergency personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Based on witness statements, officers later located the suspect vehicle in the 2800 block of Larkspur Drive, though the driver, described as a man approximately 40 years old, fled before officers arrived.
