August 14, 2026, Visalia, CA: A big rig accident that took place on a highway in Visalia led to injuries in one occupant on Friday morning.
According to Visalia Stringer, the accident occurred at 7:35 a.m. in the southbound lanes of CA-99 near the area of Avenue 184. Police confirmed that a big rig was traveling in the area when the driver was involved in an accident with a Tesla. The big rig landed on top of the Tesla, which led to extensive damages.
One occupant was pinned inside the Tesla following the accident. Tulare City Fire crews worked to extricate the victim, who was then transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
