Bakersfield, CA – On the evening of Monday, July 27, 2026, a single-vehicle motorcycle collision left a 19-year-old man with severe injuries near Hart Park, according to KBAK.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 11:04 PM at the intersection of Alfred Harrell Highway and Lily Drive.
Authorities said the man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Alfred Harrell Highway at the intersection with Lily Drive when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a raised concrete curb. He was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained severe injuries. He was transported to Kern Medical for treatment.
Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
