Grass Valley, CA – On the morning of Monday, July 27, 2026, a single-vehicle motorcycle collision left a 65-year-old Penn Valley man airlifted with major injuries, according to FOX40.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 11:20 AM on State Route 20 past Brighton Street.
Authorities said the man was riding a black Harley-Davidson westbound at normal highway speeds when he braked hard for an unknown reason and was ejected over the handlebars. He sustained major injuries and was airlifted via CalStar to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
State Route 20 was closed for approximately 30 minutes. The man’s identity was withheld due to the seriousness of his injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
