June 11, 2026, Tulare, CA: After midnight on Thursday, a pedestrian tragically lost their life at an intersection in Tulare.
According to Visalia Stringer, the accident happened after midnight at the intersection of Paseo Del Lago and Viognier Street. Police confirmed that a woman and her boyfriend were walking home when they were struck by a vehicle at the intersection. The driver and passenger in the vehicle that struck them immediately fled the scene.
Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene. They attempted to save the male pedestrian’s life and he was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. However, he was tragically pronounced deceased at the hospital due to those injuries. Police did not say if the female pedestrian was injured or not.
Police eventually found the driver responsible for the accident and arrested him. He was charged with DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
