Citrus Heights, CA – On the morning of Saturday, May 30, 2026, a collision with a vehicle resulted in a motorized scooter rider losing their life, according to ABC10.
The Citrus Heights Police Department reports that the accident took place around 9:20 AM on Sylvan Road north of Greenback Lane.
Authorities said multiple people called 911 to report the crash. Officers arrived to find the rider with significant injuries in the roadway and attempted life-saving measures, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the collision.
Southbound lanes of Sylvan Road between Stock Ranch Road and Greenback Lane were closed while investigators processed the scene.
