The Grass Valley Police Department reports that the accident took place around 6:40 PM in the 600 block of Whiting Street.
Authorities said a vehicle struck a child who was riding a bicycle for reasons not yet determined. The juvenile sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a Sacramento Valley trauma center, where they remained in critical condition at the time of reporting.
