Cindy Ann Lackie, 57, of Wofford Heights, Named in Fatal Hwy 178, Golden State Ave Crash in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified Cindy Ann Lackie, 57, of Wofford Heights, as the woman who lost her life in the early hours of Saturday, February 14, 2026, according to KBAK.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 4:25 AM at westbound Highway 178 and Golden State Avenue.

Authorities said Lackie was driving a vehicle when she was involved in the collision. She was transported for treatment and admitted to the Kern Medical Intensive Care Unit, where she died on February 26, twelve days after the crash. The Kern County Coroner’s Office formally identified her following her death.

No additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision or the other vehicles involved had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
