April 16, 2026, Pismo Beach, CA: An elderly man tragically lost his life in a fatal pedestrian accident in Pismo Beach on Thursday.
According to KSBY, the accident occurred at 10:15 a.m. in the Med Plus parking lot at 800 Oak Park Boulevard. Police confirmed that an 88-year-old man was walking through the parking lot when he was struck by the driver of a vehicle. The driver pulled over and remained on scene until police arrived.
The pedestrian was severely injured and was given first aid by paramedics when they initially arrived on scene. He was rushed to the hospital but tragically passed away before arrival. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
No further details have been released. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
