Sierra College, Douglas Blvd Crash in Granite Bay Injures Placer County Deputy, 1 Other

Granite Bay, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, a collision left a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy and another person hospitalized, according to KCRA.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office reports that the accident took place at Sierra College and Douglas Boulevards.

Authorities said the deputy was responding to a reported shooting threat at Granite Bay High School when the crash occurred. A red SUV at the scene showed visible signs of damage. 

The deputy was observed being transported by stretcher to an ambulance, and a second person involved in the collision was also taken to a local hospital. The extent of injuries for both parties had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.

A heavy law enforcement presence remained at the intersection while deputies investigated the crash. No additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
