Dinuba, Walnut Ave Crash in Fresno County Injures 1 Infant, 2 Adults

Fresno County, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 11, 2026, a collision left three people hospitalized, including a baby, according to KSEE/KGPE.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 2:45 PM near the intersection of Dinuba and Walnut Avenues.

Authorities said a vehicle traveling westbound on Dinuba Avenue failed to stop at a sign and was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound, which did not have a stop sign at the intersection. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles.

A woman in her 20s, who was driving a Nissan Altima, was pinned inside her vehicle and required extrication using the Jaws of Life. She sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A baby who was inside the Nissan Altima was not properly restrained at the time of the crash and was also transported to the hospital. The extent of the baby’s injuries had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.

The driver of an Infiniti involved in the collision was additionally transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Ongoing Investigations

Victims of traffic accidents and their families should be aware that authorities may fail to note or even misinterpret critical evidence at a crash site. One of the services that a Personal Injury Attorney can provide is to pursue follow-up investigations, which can reveal additional evidence to correct any errors made by previous investigators.

Failure to Yield

In California, as in other states, “failure to yield” means that you didn’t give the right of way to the right person at the right time. As such, failure to yield or stop is closely related to the “right of way.” When a motorist fails to yield, stop, or otherwise avoid an accident and causes a crash, he or she can be held liable for injuries and damages suffered by a victim.

Personal Injury Claims

After a traffic accident, victims and their families often deal with unexpected financial burdens, such as medical bills, lost income, and, in the worst cases, burial costs. A Personal Injury Claim allows accident victims to hold the at-fault party financially responsible for their costs of care.
