Pleasant Hill, CA – In the early hours of Sunday, March 8, 2026, a bicyclist was struck in a hit-and-run collision, resulting in the death of a 41-year-old woman and the arrest of a 45-year-old suspect, according to NBC Bay Area.

Investigators identified the suspect vehicle as a Mazda SUV. The vehicle was subsequently located in the nearby city of Concord. Angelina Solis, 45, was identified as the registered owner of the vehicle and as the suspected driver. Solis was taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and vehicle manslaughter while intoxicated.
