Sacramento, CA – In the early hours of Sunday, February 22, 2026, a hit-and-run collision involving a sedan and a van resulted in injuries to six people, including one person who was ejected, according to The Sacramento Bee.
The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident took place around 1:30 AM near 20th Street and P Street in midtown Sacramento.
Authorities said officers responded to reports of a crash involving a sedan and a van. Investigators determined that the van was struck by the sedan, and during the impact, one occupant of the van was ejected.
Emergency personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department transported two victims to the hospital with critical injuries, while four additional victims were hospitalized. Police stated that none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
Officials reported that the driver of the sedan fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. A hit-and-run investigation was launched, and the incident remains under investigation.
