February 21, 2026, Santa Maria, CA: A woman tragically lost her life in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash that took place in Santa Maria on Saturday night.
According to KSBY, the accident occurred before midnight at the intersection of Bunny Avenue and Blosser Road. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they were struck by the driver of a vehicle. The driver fled the scene after the accident.
The pedestrian, identified as a 46-year-old Nipomo woman, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of her injuries.
It is believed that police located the driver after the accident. A 30-year-old man was arrested for their involvement and received multiple felony charges.
