February 5, 2026, Stockton, CA: A hit-and-run accident that led to injuries took place at an intersection in Stockton on Thursday afternoon.
The accident, according to California Highway Patrol, occurred at 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of SR-88 and Collier Road. Police confirmed that a red Nissan Titan was involved in an accident with a second vehicle that fled the scene immediately following the collision.
Paramedics and several other responders were called to the scene. One person sustained injuries and was hospitalized as a result.
Police later found the driver who fled the scene on SR-88. They were detained but it is not known what charges they will face.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision continues.
