January 11, 2026, Farmersville, CA: A man was tragically killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Farmersville on Sunday evening.
According to Your Central Valley, the accident happened at 5:30 p.m. at 600 South Farmersville Boulevard near the area of Oakland Street. Police confirmed that a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling in the area when a pedestrian was crossing the street. The right front of the Silverado slammed into the pedestrian, knocking him onto the roadway.
Paramedics arrived on scene to assist the pedestrian. The 87-year-old man was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead while there.
The driver of the Silverado, identified as 38-year-old Valentin Torres, remained on scene and cooperated with police. However, they discovered he was under the influence at the time of the accident. He received felony charges of DUI.
No further details have been released but Farmersville Police continue their investigation.
