December 30, 2023, Madera, CA: Major injuries were reported as a result of a FedEx truck accident that took place at an intersection in Madera on Tuesday.
According to California Highway Patrol reports, the collision happened at 2:38 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue 10 and Road 40 1/2. Police confirmed that a FedEx truck and a Toyota pickup truck were involved in a collision due to reasons that are not entirely known.
The driver of the Toyota pickup, an adult female, was trapped in her vehicle and concerned because of her proximity to the gas tank. Emergency responders were able to quickly free her. One or more parties were transported to the hospital with major injuries as a result of the collision.
The road was blocked in the area for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the collision.
