December 5, 2025, Summerland, CA: A motorcycle accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Summerland on Friday morning.
According to KSBY, the collision took place at 7:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near the area of Padaro Lane. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling on the highway in the area when they were involved in a collision with a Ford F-250 work truck. The motorcycle ended up in the truck’s bed as a result.
The 27-year-old motorcyclist sustained major injuries as a result of the accident. They were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Both lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. Police had the scene cleared by 9:50 a.m.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
