San Ramon, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, a two-car collision left a 41-year-old Castro Valley woman dead, according to NBC Bay Area.
The authorities report that the accident took place around 3:30 PM at Crow Canyon Road.
San Ramon police said the crash involved a Ford Bronco and a Tesla Model 3, with the severe impact causing fatal injuries to the Ford’s driver. Officials noted that she died at the scene, and her identity has not yet been released pending notification of relatives.
Investigators said the Tesla was driven by 28-year-old Pleasanton resident Badal Dholaria, who is believed to have caused the collision. Police reported that he was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence and later booked on charges that include vehicular manslaughter.
Authorities stated that the incident remains under active investigation as they review the circumstances leading up to the crash. They are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have additional information to contact the San Ramon Police Department.
