Rohnert Park, CA – On the evening of Friday, November 28, 2025, a hit-and-run crash resulted in a pedestrian losing their life, according to NBC Bay Area.
The City of Rohnert Park Police and Fire reports that the accident took place around 6:35 PM at the intersection of Snyder Lane and Capri Way.
Authorities stated that responding units found the pedestrian critically injured, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the impact.
Investigators later identified a 17-year-old as the driver involved, and he was arrested Saturday in Petaluma after detectives linked him to the fatal collision.
Police said the teen was booked into the Sonoma County Juvenile Detention Facility on suspicion of manslaughter and failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death.
