Arden-Arcade, CA – On the afternoon of Thursday, November 27, 2025, a pedestrian collision caused a woman to lose her life after she was struck while walking a dog, according to KCRA, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 1:41 PM on Marconi Avenue near Burnece Street.

Responding fire crews found the collision in progress and began emergency care, noting that the woman had suffered a major head injury. CPR was performed at the scene, and she was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

CHP logs indicate she had been crossing Marconi Avenue from north to south when she was hit by a Toyota. Authorities also noted that she had been walking a dog at the time of the crash, and a passerby took the injured puppy into care until animal control could respond.

CHP stated that DUI was not suspected, and additional details about the circumstances remain under review.
