Sacramento, CA – On the morning of Thursday, November 13, 2025, a two-vehicle collision involving a big rig left one driver with major injuries and caused an overturned trailer in West Sacramento, according to ABC10.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place earlier in the morning along the westbound connector to eastbound Highway 50.

Investigators said the crash involved a big rig and another vehicle, resulting in the trailer overturning and blocking traffic in the area. Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist the injured motorist, who sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

CHP officials said they do not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, though they noted that weather conditions may have been a contributing factor. The overturned trailer prompted a temporary closure of the connector ramp, but Caltrans confirmed that the roadway was later reopened after cleanup and recovery efforts were completed.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision and have not released the identity or condition update of the injured driver.
