Carmichael, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 12, 2025, a pedestrian collision outside an elementary school injured two girls, according to FOX40.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 2:30 PM near the 3100 block of Panama Avenue, close to Deterding Elementary School. Multiple emergency agencies, including the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District and CHP’s North Sacramento Division, responded to the scene.
According to investigators, two girls were crossing Panama Avenue from the west shoulder to the east shoulder when a southbound vehicle traveling from Stanley Avenue struck both of them. Paramedics evaluated the victims on scene, and one girl was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for minor injuries. The other girl sustained minor injuries as well but was not hospitalized.
Officials said the driver, a man in his 30s, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver tested negative for driving under the influence.
Authorities have not released the names or ages of the injured girls. The incident remains under investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
