Pleasanton, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, November 4, 2025, a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian claimed the life of 56-year-old Rowena P. Coronel, according to KRON.

The Pleasanton Police Department reports that the accident took place around 6:41 PM at the downtown intersection of Main and Neal streets in Pleasanton.

Authorities said Coronel, a Pleasanton resident, was struck by a vehicle while walking through the intersection. Emergency responders, including Pleasanton Police officers, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews, and paramedics, transported her to a hospital, where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Preliminary reports indicate that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision.

The Alameda County Coroner’s Office confirmed Coronel’s identity. Pleasanton Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash and encourage anyone with information to contact their department.
