October 23, 2025, Avenal, CA: On Thursday morning, a head-on big rig collision took place on a highway in Avenal that led to injuries.
According to Your Central Valley, the accident happened at 6:20 a.m. on Highway 33 around the area of South 7th Avenue. Police confirmed that two big rigs were traveling in the area when they collided head-on into each other due to reasons that are not fully known. Trash and oil leaked all over the roadway in the area.
Both of the drivers involved in the accident sustained injuries. One had to be extricated from their truck. They were treated on scene but not hospitalized.
