October 8, 2025, Chowchilla, CA: On Wednesday, two people were injured in an accident involving a trailer in Chowchilla.
According to Your Central Valley, the accident happened at 4:40 a.m. on Road 9 close to the Avenue 25 intersection. Police confirmed that a man was driving a gray Volvo with an enclosed trailer attached to the back near the intersection. At the same time, a woman and her passenger were in a gray Toyota Corolla also approaching the intersection.
The man driving the Volvo failed to stop at the intersection’s stop sign, causing him to drive into the path of the Toyota. The Toyota slammed into the left side of the trailer, where it then became lodged underneath.
Both the driver and passenger in the Toyota sustained major injuries. The 38-year-old woman and her 22-year-old male passenger were both taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Volvo was uninjured.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
