Sacramento, CA – On the evening of Thursday, October 2, 2025, pedestrian Alicia Andrea Barnes, 65, lost her life after she was struck by a vehicle in midtown Sacramento, according to KSBW.
The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident took place around 6:30 PM at the intersection of 29th Street and K Street, near Sutter Medical Center.
Officers arrived at the scene and found Barnes critically injured. Emergency personnel transported her to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries. Police confirmed her death at approximately 8:20 PM.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Alicia Andrea Barnes of Roseville.
Investigators stated that the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated fully. Authorities noted that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the incident.
