El Dorado County, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, September 20, 2025, a motorcycle and truck collision left a motorcyclist dead from severe injuries, according to ABC10.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place shortly after 5:00 PM on Highway 49, about one mile north of Rattlesnake Bar Road.
Investigators said the motorcyclist traveled along Highway 49 when he collided head-on with a Ford pickup truck. The impact caused fatal injuries, and emergency personnel confirmed the rider died at the scene.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Ford pickup truck did not suffer injuries. The driver remained at the scene and spoke with investigators. No passengers were inside either vehicle at the time of the crash.
Officials said they found no evidence that alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
