September 9, 2025, Orcutt, CA: On Tuesday evening, a pedestrian accident involving a teenager took place near a high school in Orcutt.
According to KSBY, the accident happened at 6:05 p.m. at the intersection of Foster Road and Woodland Street across from Ernest Righetti High School. Police confirmed that a GMC Yukon was headed west on Foster when the driver struck a teen riding an electric scooter across the street. It is not known if the driver stopped and remained on scene.
The teen, identified as a 14-year-old boy, was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was treated for unknown injuries.
California Highway Patrol is asking for information regarding the collision from those who witnessed it. Their investigation into the collision continues.
