California City, CA – On the evening of Sunday, August 3, 2025, a two-vehicle collision injured several people and killed Rainier Romana Sabado, 47, of Warner Robins, GA, according to KBAK.

The California City Police Department reports that the accident took place around 8:45 PM near California City Boulevard, south of Joshua Boulevard.

Authorities said Sabado was driving a vehicle when another vehicle struck it in the area. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and provided aid to individuals who sustained injuries in the crash. Those injured were transported to local hospitals for further evaluation and treatment.

Officials have not released the number of people hurt or the severity of their injuries. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by California City Police with assistance from other local agencies.
