Fresno, CA – On the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in the death of Rany Oeur, 72, and caused injuries to two other individuals, according to The Fresno Bee.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 10:48 AM at the intersection of Huntington Avenue and Chestnut Avenue in southeast Fresno.
Authorities said a white Lexus, in which Oeur was a passenger, was traveling through the intersection when it was struck by a southbound Chevy Camaro approaching on Chestnut Avenue. The force of the impact caused the Lexus to veer off the roadway and crash into a nearby metal fence.
Rany Oeur, a resident of Fresno, was transported by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, she was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The male driver of the Lexus, whose name has not been released, was also taken to the hospital. His condition has not been disclosed, and no additional details about his injuries were immediately available. The driver of the Camaro was also hospitalized following the crash.
The intersection was closed for several hours on Saturday to allow investigators to document the scene and collect evidence.
Police have not stated whether drugs, alcohol, or excessive speed were factors in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing as they continue to analyze surveillance footage and speak with witnesses to determine the cause of the crash.
