Marina, CA – On the night of Monday, June 16, 2025, a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision resulted in fatal injuries, according to KSBW.
The Marina Police Department reports that the incident occurred around 11:02 PM near the intersection of Reservation Road and Mbest Drive.
An adult male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders transported the man to Natividad Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities have not yet released his identity, pending notification of next of kin.
During the investigation, all westbound traffic on Reservation Road from Blanco Road to Imjin Road was diverted. The roadway was reopened to normal traffic at approximately 6:00 AM.
According to police, the driver involved in the initial collision stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. At this time, neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have played a role.
Preliminary findings also indicate the possibility that a second vehicle may have struck the pedestrian after the initial impact while he was still in the roadway. The investigation is ongoing.
