June 6, 2025, Monterey, CA: A three-vehicle collision with injuries took place at an intersection in Monterey on Friday afternoon.
According to information provided by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 5:12 p.m. at the intersection of US-101 and Main Street. Police confirmed that three vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection due to reasons that are still being investigated. One of the vehicles was identified as a Honda Accord.
An ambulance was called to the scene, as there were children inside one of the vehicles. Injuries were reported but it is not known exactly how many were injured.
The scene was cleared within the hour so traffic could resume as normal.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
