Los Banos, CA – On the evening of Wednesday, June 4, 2025, a single-vehicle rollover crash left two women with major injuries, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 6:30 PM near Interstate 5 at Volker Road.
Officials say a four-seat quad-type vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old Modesto man, overturned while traveling off-road with four occupants, two men and two women, all between the ages of 18 and 21.
One woman suffered major hand injuries while the other sustained a broken femur; both were airlifted to hospitals in Modesto for emergency treatment. The other male passenger experienced minor injuries.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities say the investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
California DUI Law
Section 23153(a) of the California Vehicle Code (CVC) states that it is illegal for any driver to “Operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and, as a result, cause bodily injury to someone else.”
Passenger Liability
Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming.
