Sacramento, CA – On the morning of Friday, May 16, 2025, a pedestrian was left in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle, according to KCRA.
The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident took place around 8:30 AM near Norwood Avenue and Eleanor Avenue.
Authorities say a man in his 50s was struck by a vehicle while walking in the Northgate neighborhood. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and, as of late morning, was not expected to survive.
The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Norwood Avenue remains closed between Las Palmas Avenue and Eleanor Avenue as detectives continue to examine the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
