April 9, 2025, San Ardo, CA: Two people suffered injuries in a big rig accident on a highway in San Ardo on Wednesday morning.
According to information provided by Kion 46, the accident occurred around 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101. Police confirmed that a big rig was traveling north on the highway when the driver lost control, traveling through the median and into the wrong lane of traffic. The big rig struck a Buick head-on.
A 47-year-old woman was driving the Buick and was allegedly not injured. Her passengers, identified as a 45-year-old and a 75-year-old woman, were both seriously injured in the accident. They were transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Southbound lanes of traffic were completely blocked for some time after the collision.
