Clovis, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, April 8, 2025, a young man lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle, according to KSEE.
The Clovis Police Department reports that the accident took place around 5:30 PM near Bullard Avenue, just west of Temperance Avenue, between Pistachio and Arroyo avenues.
Authorities stated that a woman driving a Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Bullard Avenue alongside a young man who was riding a mountain-style bicycle in the same direction. For reasons still under investigation, the two collided, causing extensive injuries to the juvenile. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers during the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that alcohol or drug impairment is not suspected. Investigators noted that the juvenile was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Bullard Avenue was closed for several hours between Armstrong and Temperance avenues while officers conducted a detailed collision reconstruction and gathered witness statements.
This location is near the intersection where a well-known local figure, referred to as the “Dancing Man,” was fatally struck by a vehicle in 2021.
The investigation remains ongoing.
