April 1, 2025, Turlock, CA: An officer was injured in a motorcycle accident that took place at an intersection in Turlock on Tuesday.
The accident, according to information provided by the Turlock Police Department Facebook page, the accident happened at an unknown time at the intersection of Geer Road and Hawkeye Avenue. Police confirmed that an officer with the Turlock Police Department was traveling in the area on a motorcycle with his lights and sirens activated, trying to pull over a speeding vehicle. As he was headed through the intersection, a vehicle collided with the motorcycle.
The officer sustained moderate injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He required stitches as a result. The other driver involved in the accident was not hurt.
The officer’s motorcycle was extensively damaged in the accident.
