Modesto, CA – On the evening of Monday, March 17, 2025, a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Modesto resulted in one fatality, according to The Fresno Bee.
The Modesto Police Department reports that the collision occurred around 6:30 PM at Claus Road and Milnes Road.
Authorities stated that a Waterford man driving a sedan westbound entered the intersection and was broadsided by a pickup truck driven by a Modesto man. Emergency responders arrived to find one person unconscious and pinned inside a vehicle.
The individual was extricated but was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash closed Claus Road in both directions for an extended period.
Police have not yet confirmed which driver was killed or if there were additional injuries. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the Modesto Police Department.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
